The Central European Heart
From Lake Balaton in the west to the great prairie plains in the east. Hungary, with its dynamic capital Budapest, is a fast-growing favourite among many. The many contrasts become apparent as you move from country to city, from old town to new, or simply across the Danube from Buda to Pest.
Moving around Budapest among sights such as illuminated bridges, the Royal Palace, the Parliament buildings and the Cathedral is always a magnificent experience. The quality of hotels and restaurants is very high and the framework for a successful corporate event is just right.
The delicious seaside hotel
The area around Budapest is favoured by many thermal springs. A number of hotels take advantage of this to create superb spa and wellness areas. It's pure balm for the soul after a long meeting or physical activities out in nature. The cosy and charming hotels are everywhere, whether you want to stay in the scenic hills north of the city or inside the city centre, with wonderful cafes, restaurants and shops around the corner. They all provide a high level of service, so the chance of a successful corporate event is even greater.
From big city to beautiful nature
You'll never run out of things to do in Hungary, in Budapest or anywhere else in the country. There are plenty of opportunities for both physical activities in the great outdoors and more pleasurable experiences, as you can see from this selection:
- Visits to thermal baths
- VIP wine tasting in the cellar of the castle in Budapest
- City tour by bike with storytelling
- Cooking class with introduction to the exciting Hungarian cuisine
- Dinner cruise on the Danube River
- Mountain biking in stunning terrain
- Canoeing on the Danube tributaries
Logistics
There are several airlines flying direct between Denmark and Budapest from both Billund and Copenhagen with many weekly flights. It's only a two-hour flight to Budapest, and on top of that it's only half an hour's drive from the airport and into the city centre. So travel time is very limited before you can start on the planned programme.
